At Preferred Moving & Storage, we are honored to be a part of this annual tradition. This February, just as we have done for nearly 20 years, our Michigan storage facility has been packed with millions of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies.
As part of our local warehousing and distribution services, we hold the cookies in temporary storage at our secure commercial storage warehouse. Our inventory tracking helps to identify the types of cookies and number of boxes of each earmarked for the Girl Scout troops we distribute to throughout Southeast Michigan.
In 2017, we distributed approximately 3 million boxes of Girl Scout Cookies. That’s more than any other distribution center in the U.S.! We are proud to help our local Girl Scouts with their distribution needs as they work to reach their cookie sale goals!
Girl Scout Cookie sales helps provide incredible experiences for girls such as trips, summer camps, and community projects, all while they gain life skills, entrepreneurial expertise, and leadership abilities. Girl Scouts, who run their own cookie business, work with others to build confidence as they master five distinct skills:
- Goal Setting
- Decision Making
- Money Management
- People Skills
- Business Ethics
Girls can also earn official Cookie Business badges, Financial Literacy badges, and the annual Cookie Activity pin for selling Girl Scout Cookies.
